I am not from a first world country. I belong to a third world [country] but I still feel bad when I saw this video featured on 9GAG. Whatever economic class you belong, this is just a simple reminder that we should be thankful of whatever we have because lots of people out there would already be so thankful to be in our position. Imagine living in a country where fresh water and three complete meals a day would already feel like Christmas... It's so heart wrenching.
This is also one of the reasons why I finish whatever is on my plate. My conscience cannot take it when I have some leftovers because I know that there are lots of people out there who are suffering from starvation and malnutrition.
This reminds me that I need to work hard because I want to help people. I want to help them see that there's still hope. I want to reach out to them. And I won't be able to do such things if I don't work hard. I still need money, of course.
Whoever says that they don't need money, just love and a complete family is a downright hypocrite. I won't even be able to buy a plane ticket if I don't have money! -_-
