Dating is such a common term but it's not really as simple as a six-letter world. Photo from cultivatingculture.
I found this cool YouTube video that's been featured on 9gag. It's about the difference between the way couples act when they were still dating and when they're finally married.
Honestly, it sucks! This is what you get when you pretend to be all gallant, elegant and perfect when you're still dating. Then when all the pretense is gone, when you finally get married, this is the life you're going to get.
Personally, I believe that the dating attitude on the video portrays how immature people, those who love perfection and cute stuffs, date. Reminds me of high school boys and girls dating.
To avoid this, couples should let each other see their real personality. Act your way and be who you really are. Act natural and be yourself. So that when you're finally married, you're going to have a wonderful lifetime together :)
It depends on your first date maybe you should act elegant but on your second and so on dates, you have to show your real personalities.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it really depends on the kind of person that you are and who the other person is. Indeed, people assume different personalities, depending on who the other person/s are. :)
DeleteI am still dating,so don't know much about marriage :D
ReplyDeleteHaha! I guess you should just enjoy your status right now. Thanks for sharing Michelle! :)
Deletei remember me and my hubby was still dating at first you have these shy attitude but if you will last a years day by day you have the chance to know each other better all my imperfection my hubby loves that thats why we last till we got married and till now i have these attitude while eating my one feet is up crossing my one foot yay! hahaha
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely! It's really nice to let the other person know what you're really like, all pretenses bared, so that it won't be difficult for the both of you to adjust when you're finally married. Thanks for sharing Laarnie! :)
DeleteHahaha Funny! Thank you for reminding me about this.. tsk tsk that's why I'm still a bachelor now :D
ReplyDeleteHaha! You're welcome Richard! And uh, I hope it's a positive reminder for you... :)
DeleteI have been married for 13 years and there's a lot of difference between dating and marriage. You will always really get to know the real person that you are dating once start living with that person
ReplyDeleteWow! Congratulations on your successful marriage Leira! And I guess you're right about knowing what kind of person your partner really is when you're already living under the same roof. Thanks for sharing! :)
DeleteI guess being married is the real thing and no more pretensions but dating leads us to be better at marriage by getting to know the other.
ReplyDeleteThat is, if the person you're dating is being his/her real self. Sometimes, when people date each other, they tend to impress each other - just like the one in the video. :)
DeleteBeing yourself is always the key to it. :D
